About the Program

Politics is offered as one of two subjects in the Interdisciplinary Bachelor's programme. The degree programme in Political Science imparts knowledge of political systems, political processes, political content as well as theoretical and analytical relationships of political organisations in modern societies. At Leibniz Universität Hannover, the subject is offered in the nationally and internationally recommended breadth, i.e. the areas of political theory and history of ideas, comparative government, international relations and political science methods are represented. Other areas covered by the Institute of Political Science include political sociology, policy areas and political administration. Since the interdisciplinary bachelor's programme is polyvalent, i.e. it includes a teaching option, the sub-area of didactics of political education is also represented.
