About the Program

The Master's program in Philosophy (Language – Knowledge – Action) enables an in-depth study of the systematic and historical aspects of philosophy. It serves the development of conceptual-argumentative and reflexive skills and promotes the ability to critique and judge normative questions. The content of the course includes problems and questions from the central philosophical disciplines: history of philosophy, philosophy of language, epistemology, logic, philosophy of science, ethics, political philosophy, action theory, philosophy of culture, philosophical anthropology and aesthetics. The programme is divided into a study phase of three semesters and a fourth semester in which the Master's thesis is written. The following six modules are offered in the study phase: Language and Logic, Mind and action, Knowledge and world, Man and culture, Morals and politics, History of philosophy.
