About the Program
The Orientation Classes (School Years 5 and 6) at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden focus on a fine arts profile and dance. They prepare students for a secondary school diploma and for admittance into the Young Talents Programme. The dance training is carried out parallel to secondary school education at the integrated Secondary School. Dance training comprises 14 units of instruction a week, each 45 minutes long (10 units of ballet, three units of dance/technique/improvisation, and one unit of folk dance). Students are integrated early into the artistic life at the university and have opportunities to perform from the first year to gain stage experience.
