The Bachelor of Arts 'Ökonomie – Nachhaltigkeit – Transformation' (Economics - Sustainability - Transformation) is a program that teaches students to understand how our economy works and how to change it for a sustainable and just society. Students acquire methodological and specialized knowledge from various perspectives, including Plural Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Management Science, Sustainability Management, Sustainability Sciences, and Transformation Research. The program offers a 360-degree view of economy and society, studying feminist, Marxist, institutionalist, (post-)Keynesian, and economic-sociological approaches, as well as mainstream economics. The curriculum focuses on concepts like Modern Monetary Theory, Donut Economy, Common Good Economy, Care, Post-growth/Degrowth, Commons, socio-ecological transformation, and climate justice. Students can choose between two specializations after the second semester: 'New Economic Thinking' or 'Transforming the Economy'.
