About the Program

Shipbuilding engineers or naval architects work in all branches of the shipbuilding industry which produces river and sea vessels of various types and sizes. They develop new ship types and shapes, construct the individual ship parts, test ship models, plan and monitor production and assembly and, if necessary, carry out conversion and repair work. In addition, cost calculation and sales activities may be part of their area of responsibilities. The program focuses on training for an industry of the future, active participation in the maritime energy transition, high technology, professional yacht design, and maritime reference. The curriculum includes Higher Mathematics, Theoretical Fluid Dynamics, Computer Science/IT, and various elective modules in areas such as Structural Mechanics, Numerical Mechanics, and specialized shipbuilding topics.
