About the Program

The Master of Education in Natural Sciences and Technology (NwT) deepens knowledge from the bachelor's degree with a focus on technical and engineering topics, preparing students specifically for the preparatory service for the teaching profession. Students learn to analyze technical issues, use experiments, and communicate them in an understandable way. The program combines compulsory modules with compulsory elective courses, including a central NwT laboratory course and two modules from different areas (civil engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering). The degree program offers flexibility to incorporate students' interests and deepen professional and practical skills in science and technology. The program requires 120 ECTS credits total, with 27 ECTS credits in each of the two main academic subjects, 33 CP in the Pedagogical Additional Subject, a 12-week school practice semester (16 CP), and a master's thesis (17 CP).
