About the Program

The overarching aim of the music-educational degree programs offered is the development and consolidation of music-related subject-specific, personal, methodological and social skills tailored to the respective envisaged professional fields. This requires that, in addition to the scientific and theoretical qualification, students are able to discover, test and differentiate the broad range of their own musical movement, expression, perception and communication skills. At the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, special emphasis in the teaching practice is placed on a close connection between scientific-theoretical, music-practical, and instructional courses. The program can be studied for elementary school or the secondary schools Mittelschule and Realschule. In the teaching program for Realschule, it can be combined with German, English, Mathematics or Catholic Religious Education.
