About the Program

The profession of music teacher is one of the most varied music professions. It is characterized by a wide range of different ways of dealing with music and types of music. The training in Music takes place in the artistic-practical part with subjects such as piano, second instrument, singing, speech training, voice training, choral conducting, practical school piano playing, music theory, aural training and rhythmics. It also includes a music education and musicology part with the disciplines of musicology and music didactics. The teacher training programme is offered in cooperation with the institution of higher education Franz Liszt Weimar.
