About the Program

The Weißenhof-Program of Fine Arts is a postgraduate program that serves as an alternative to the so-called third study cycle. It aims to bridge the gap between artistic graduation and an independent artistic career. The program is directed at selected, particularly talented artists who want to implement a specific work project or deepen their focus within the study program, and whose last art-practical degree was completed no more than three years ago. Besides working on their own projects, students are encouraged to organize lectures for their group, exhibition visits, and portfolio consultations with their mentors to receive impulses for their own project work, contribute to their professionalization, and enable networking in the academic and free artistic world. Students can also gain additional practical experience on topics such as fundraising, event organization, public relations, and professional catalog production. A limited number of teaching assignments may be made available to students.
