About the Program

The Master's program in Mediation and Conflict Management is a 4-semester, postgraduate, part-time study program that concludes with the academic degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.), depending on the specialization chosen. The program offers professional, scientifically-based practical mediation training for students without prior mediation training. For already trained mediators, it provides the opportunity to expand their foundational knowledge and specialize by learning about various application fields of mediation and conflict management in detail, and to enhance their practical methodological competence through integrated advanced modules. The time components of the in-person seminars fulfill the requirements for certification according to the Ordinance on the Training and Further Education of Certified Mediators (ZMediatAusbV) as well as the standards for recognition by the German Federal Association for Mediation.
