About the Program

The research-oriented Media and Communication Science master program is a social-scientific oriented program whose main objective is the exploration of media communication. The program combines content from the fields of communication sciences, media technology, economic sciences and law (Ilmenau model). The program is research oriented and closely connected with current, medium- and long-term research activities of the Institut für Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaft (IfMK). This master program focuses on facilitate students to acquire knowledge and competences in theoretical approaches, research methods and findings concerning media communication in a research oriented course. The modular courses are held in English. Graduates are therefore ideally prepared for the globalised job market in which interface and transfer skills become of greater importance.
