Mechatronics

Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)

About the Program

Mechatronics graduates have the mechanical, electrical, fluidic and automation analysis, design and action skills required to master mechatronic challenges, especially in the field of mechanical and plant engineering. They are competent in formulating strategic goals, taking responsibility for mechatronic or automated overall solutions and projects, and making decisions. Following successful completion of the course, graduates are able to apply interdisciplinary knowledge and learned methods, especially in cross-sectional areas (between mechanics and electrics, for example: analysis of dynamic properties, machine monitoring and creation of suitable software tools) to address a variety of tasks and to acquire new scientific and technological knowledge. This also enables them to take on managerial roles in the fields mentioned and/or to complete a doctoral programme.
