Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

The consecutive master's degree program in mechanical engineering with a standard period of study of four semesters builds on the bachelor's degree program. The aim is to provide in-depth engineering methods and knowledge as well as research-qualifying scientific working methods. The program offers four fields of study: General Mechanical Engineering (AMB), Manufacturing Technology (FT), Computer-aided product development (RPE), and International Production Engineering and Management (IP). The master's program can be completed as a full-time program in 4 semesters or as a part-time program in 8 semesters. In the first 3 semesters (part-time: 6), students acquire competencies in various elective subjects in mechanical engineering and related engineering disciplines, taking into account current research results, specializing in two areas. This includes preparation of a scientific project with presentation. The 4th semester (part-time: 7th-8th) includes the Master's thesis. Practical relevance and employability are ensured by compulsory practical work experience.
