About the Program

In cooperation with the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University and the Clinic for Operative Dentistry, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry of the University Hospital Aachen, RWTH International Academy offers the MSc Periodontology postgraduate Master's programme. Scientific director of the programme is Professor Dr med dent Andreas Braun, director of the Clinic for Operative Dentistry, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry at the Aachen University Hospital. This Master’s programme is designed as a post-graduate continuation of a first professional university degree in the field of dentistry and aims at in-depth, professional specialisation in the treatment of periodontal diseases. In the course of study, students acquire practical training in diagnostics, prevention and non-surgical treatment of periodontal diseases. In addition, students receive in-depth, practical training in operative procedures (periodontal surgery). The course offers dentists the opportunity to become highly qualified specialists in the area of periodontology.
