Master of Engineering Management (MEM)

Master

About the Program

Founded and started in 2013, more than 140 engineers from eight different engineering disciplines have enrolled so far, and more than 90 double titles (Germany + Argentina) and 30 Germany-only titles (with the Argentine titles still under way) have been awarded since then. The aim of the course is a continuing scientific and application-related higher education based on a completed engineering degree programme. The Master's programme prepares students for a skilled occupation as an engineer in engineering management. The programme is focused on the collaboration between different engineering disciplines in the management of major international projects and the necessary management skills and methods. Mastering the complexity of the management processes requires additional expert knowledge and excellent methodological and social skills as well as language and intercultural skills. Transferring these skills is the challenge of the Master's programme Engineering Management. The lectures of one semester are in Argentina and the lectures of another semester are in Germany. In the third semester, the Master's thesis can be written in Argentina or in Germany. Intercultural and linguistic aspects in the engineering programme are promoted, as the group of Master's students consists partly of German and Argentinian students and lecturers. The course of study aims at applicants who hold an engineering degree in any engineering discipline (i.e. civil, industrial, electrical, chemical, IT, biomedical, food, engineering, etc.).
