About the Program

The MA European Studies (MA EUS) is a full-time, two-year degree programme taught exclusively in English. Being an interdisciplinary and international programme, the MA EUS attracts students from all over the world. The Master's programme emphasises comprehensive and in-depth insights into relevant European issues within the disciplines of the social sciences and the humanities, such as economic and political theories, European law, European ideas and European contemporary history. The MA European Studies comprises both compulsory and elective subjects. The compulsory courses are built around the following three main dimensions of the programme: European law and politics, European society and economy, European humanities. Due to the diversity of our students with their multifaceted backgrounds as well as the many views on the above-mentioned topics, students have the chance to look at the idea of Europe from many different perspectives. During the third semester, students will have the possibility to study abroad either in an accredited programme or within our double degree programme. Studying in Flensburg allows students to combine academic training with a memorable intercultural experience!
