About the Program

The thematic focus of the program is reflected in a broad range of biochemical/nutritional science, analytical and toxicological courses. In the elective area, courses are offered in the field of food and drug safety as well as consumer protection. In addition, you will acquire in-depth knowledge in the areas of food technology and scientific sensory analysis. The first and second semesters offer an in-depth knowledge of biochemistry and analytics. Other focus areas include biochemistry of nutrition as well as technology and sensory analysis. You will also complete an advanced practical course and an in-depth practical course. The third semester includes the area of 'Safety and Analytics' relevant to consumer protection. The final examination covers all aspects of general and special food chemistry including the adjacent areas of toxicology and molecular nutrition research. The master's thesis is scheduled for the fourth semester.
