About the Program

In the minor subject "Latin Language and Culture", you will be taught basic language skills, which you can apply to translate original Latin texts. The language skills correspond to the level of the state Latinum and will enable you to interpret texts independently (for example in your major subjects). You will also learn to survey authors and works of key genres and epochs of Latin literature and will be able to identify reception references to ancient texts and concepts.
