The Master's program examines interdisciplinary cultural studies and media-oriented questions, opening up new fields of work and research that are often neglected in traditional comparative studies. The program focuses on international Anglophone, Francophone, and Hispanophone regions outside Europe (Latin America, Africa, USA, etc.), with cultural transfer playing a special role. Mobility, flexibility, practical relevance, and cultural transfer are core competencies and central orientations. The Master's program has an international and interdisciplinary character and offers research-oriented cultural studies education in literature and its cultural contexts, particularly phenomena of intermediality, transmediality, and cultural exchange. The study structure offers research-oriented training in the first two semesters, complemented by a semester abroad or an internship (e.g., in museums, publishing houses, or cultural management institutions) in the third semester. The program concludes with a thesis semester.
