About the Program

Kommunikationsdesign means developing targeted strategies and implementing them through design. Complex issues are translated into a visual language that is immediately understood - from classic print media to spatial design to digital applications. Communication designers create posters, flyers, books and magazines, develop corporate identities, and design websites and apps. In the Communication Design program, students develop an independent design personality. They acquire craft skills, theoretical expertise, and conceptual and artistic competencies in all relevant media. The focus areas of the program include book design, typography, corporate design, film and animation, photography, aesthetics, philosophy of design, illustration, and screen-oriented design.
