About the Program

The consecutive Master's program in Jewish Studies: Migration, Minority and Diaspora Studies aims to further develop knowledge acquired in the field both in terms of content and interdisciplinary approach. Emphasis is placed on largely independent work. The knowledge imparted should also enable students, if desired and qualified, to write a dissertation after successfully completing their studies. Students are supported in developing their own profile of interests and research. They can choose from various methodological, thematic, and geographical focuses. The program contains an extensive elective area with imported modules on migration, minority, and diaspora studies. The program can be freely combined with all Master's partial degree programs at the University of Halle.
