About the Program

This Master's program focuses on the scientific study of Japan in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The three sub-areas of History and Culture, Society, and Politics of Japan are examined using both social science and cultural studies methods. The language training provides advanced receptive and productive skills in contemporary Japanese language (reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking).
