International Summer Academy (ISA) 2026

Summer School

About the Program

Learn German in one of the largest baroque palaces in Europe! In the mornings, you will receive five lessons of general language instruction at almost all levels of the CEFR (=Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) from beginner (A1.1) to the (almost) perfect speaker (C1). Attendance is obligatory in order to receive a certificate and ECTS points at the end. You will receive a certificate if you have not missed more than three days of class and have passed the final tests. A textbook is included in the course price. In the afternoons, there will be communication and grammar seminars, intercultural trainings, lectures on Europe, history, literature and economy, and a pronunciation workshop. The attendance is voluntary, and as many seminars as you like can be attended (at no additional cost!). Moodle units are available for independent study. Additionally, there are excursions and leisure activities in the afternoons, some at additional costs. The ISA is designed for fast learners. The language of instruction is German from the beginning. The curriculum is given, but there is enough time to respond to individual wishes of the students.
