International Private Law and European Uniform Law

Master of Laws (L.L.M.)

About the Program

The consecutive Bachelor's and Master's program provides knowledge of German and French law in the Bachelor's program, in-depth knowledge of French law, and in the Master's program International Private Law and European Uniform Law, a methodological focus on International Private Law and the current development of a European Uniform Private Law. This program is offered as an integrated program with a double degree in cooperation with the University of Dijon. The program can be studied in parallel with the First Legal Examination (State Examination program) to keep open the path to 'classical' legal professions in Germany that are only accessible with completed legal traineeship and assessor examination (e.g., legal profession, public service). This is possible without significant extension of the study period, as most achievements are recognized in both programs.
