About the Program

The internationally oriented degree course is designed to qualify students for a variety of professional fields in language and cultural mediation. The course combines a didactic-pedagogical degree with a degree in French or Spanish language and culture and another language (French/Spanish, German or English). It offers insight into the broad profile of language and culture teaching, including knowledge about multilingualism, intercultural competence, and perspectives on linguistic and cultural participation. The course is strongly practice-oriented with internships and project work. It includes a mandatory period abroad at a university in a French- or Spanish-speaking cultural area. Students with French as their first subject can apply for the Bachelor's degree course in CultureA, a binational option supported by the Franco-German University (DFH).
