About the Program

This Master's degree programme offers you the chance to obtain an excellent advanced qualification in the field of pharmacoeconomics and health economics, health products, and market access. It is an international programme with a close link between theory and practice. The programme includes 12 weeks of residency placement in Germany or abroad. The main focus of the programme is to provide specific knowledge of pharmacoeconomics as well as methodical and strategic knowledge for international health markets. Market access, pricing and reimbursement, ethical resource allocation, and market strategies for pharmaceuticals and medical devices are the main topics of this course of study. The course of study thereby provides students with a sound base of knowledge and methodologies to solve problems and deal with challenges in pharmaceutical technology and medical technology. It also enables students to evaluate alternative strategies from both the perspective of the healthcare system and the perspective of business. The programme is conducted in a multicultural environment. Completion of this Master's degree programme opens up a wide range of career options – for example, as an expert in regulatory affairs, international pricing policy, or health economics, or as a market access manager.
