About the Program

International criminal justice is a relatively new field in teaching and research and has increasingly become the focus of academic training since the 1990s. Based on several years of interdisciplinary teaching and research experience of the ICWC, and as part of a cooperation between the departments of Law, History and Cultural Studies, and Social Sciences and Philosophy, an interdisciplinary and innovative Master's programme "International Criminal Justice: Law, History, Politics" with a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree will be offered at Philipps-Universität Marburg from 2020. Graduates will enter the labour market with well-founded and interdisciplinary knowledge, as well as professional, methodological, social and personal skills that are in demand in numerous professional fields, including international and internationalised courts, national and international organisations for combating international and transnational crime, foreign ministries, justice ministries, interior ministries, defence ministries, parliaments, NGOs, museums, memorials, archives, documentation centres, media, publishing houses, and research institutions.
