The Master's program 'Interdisciplinary Studies on Eastern Europe' aims to provide interdisciplinary Eastern European cultural competence and comprehensive methodological skills in various scientific fields. It analyzes, reflects on, and evaluates cultural, historical, legal, political, and economic processes in Eastern Europe. Students learn to independently acquire, implement, and critically evaluate models and theories, as well as develop scientific judgment and linguistic expression and communication skills. The program enables students to conduct independent analyses of complex issues and to plan, implement, and evaluate their own projects on Eastern Europe. From WS 2022/23, the program offers both German-language and English-language study options. Additionally, from WS 2024/25, an English-language Ukraine Track is offered, focusing specifically on Ukraine within the Eastern European context.
