Interdisziplinäre Polenstudien Master 45-75Interdisciplinary Polish Studies

Master of Arts (M.A.)

About the Program

The Master's program in Interdisciplinary Polish Studies (45/75 LP) aims to draw attention to the dynamic society of Poland, Germany's eastern neighbor. Since 2004, Poland has been a member of the European Union and is increasingly interconnected internationally. The program provides humanities and social science knowledge about Poland and gives insight into the perspectives and methods of different disciplines. There is a particular focus on a historically deepened understanding of Polish society and culture. Learning Polish is an integral part of the program. Students can begin or continue language study at various levels according to their individual prerequisites. The Master's program is designed as a two-year advanced study program that offers the rare opportunity to acquire region-specific competencies while simultaneously deepening the subject chosen in the Bachelor's program. This maintains disciplinary anchoring, so that the path to a doctorate in the basic subject remains open. However, a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Polish Studies is not possible.
