About the Program

In our increasingly interconnected world, people from different cultures and countries work together. Intercultural competences help us avoid misunderstandings and promote effective communication. Companies are also increasing their focus on diversity. To do so, it is necessary to value different perspectives and create an inclusive working environment. The English-language degree program "Intercultural Communication and Management" is a continuing education master's degree program for students with work experience who want to grow professionally and personally and shape our globalized world. The program aims to impart theoretical and practical knowledge from the fields of intercultural communication and management in a balanced manner. The program enables students to take on management and leadership roles relating to communication within companies of various sizes on the basis of existing academic qualifications and professional experience. Students will acquire fundamental knowledge and approaches in linguistics, cultural studies, and business administration as well as specific management competencies. Emphasis is placed on establishing a close link between science and practice. Technical and methodological competencies are therefore taught in an application-oriented manner.
