Integrated European Studies

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The BA Integrated European Studies is an interdisciplinary degree programme. It deals with the politological and cultural conditions which govern the driving forces of politics and society of Europe past and present (for example crises like Brexit or migration policy in the EU). Subsequent processes of current regional integration in Europe are analysed on this background. The main focus lies on the transformation processes in Eastern Europe, as well as the challenges confronting the European Union and its neighbours. Germany, Poland and Russia occupy a central position in this respect. Both area programmes, Political European Studies and Cultural European Studies have a geographic focus on Europe as a whole. Students are expected to attend courses in Russian, Polish, Spanish or French.
