About the Program

The artistic-pedagogical degree program in Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy leads to a Bachelor of Arts in eight semesters. Two study directions are offered with the following main subjects: Classical direction: orchestral instruments, piano, guitar, accordion, recorder, vocals; Popular music direction: piano, electric guitar, electric bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, vocals. The program follows the quality criteria of ALMS (Working Group of Leading Music Education Programs). Starting from the winter semester 2026/2027, the program can also be completed as a practice-integrated dual study program (8 semesters) in cooperation with the Cottbus Conservatory and later with other regional music schools.
