Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The Informatik-Ingenieurwesen (Computer Engineering) program focuses on cyber-physical systems, which involve the close coupling of networked computers with the environment. This applies to almost all modern application areas from production facilities to smart cities and homes to medical measurement devices. The program at TUHH has a strong focus on computer science coupled with in-depth fundamentals to understand networking and connection to the physical environment. Students learn how computers and the environment 'talk' to each other and how to develop new systems. A special part of the program is the IIW internship, where small groups of students work on a project over a semester. The program has three pillars: Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering (with basics in electrical engineering, communications engineering, and control engineering).
