About the Program

The Computer Science program focuses on how IT systems can be used to make everyday life easier, how technical systems can be operated more resource-efficiently with the help of IT systems, and how IT systems can be designed to be user-friendly, secure, and reliable. The six-semester bachelor's program includes foundational subjects such as Introduction to Computer Science, Programming, Database, Operating Systems, Computer Structures and Networks, Software Engineering, Web Technologies, Mathematics, Business Administration, English, IT Law, and Presentation and Communication Techniques. In the third semester, students choose a specialization in Practical Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, or Data Science. Through exercises, internships, project work, and the bachelor thesis, students learn to independently work on practical computer science tasks using scientific methods.
