Informatics

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

Hochschule Schmalkalden Location: Schmalkalden

About the Program

Informatics is the science of systematic information processing with computers. In the past decades it has influenced our lives, work and leisure time more profoundly and lastingly than many other sciences. The increasingly growing number of connected and embedded multimedia systems results in ever shorter innovation cycles in industry, economy and society. New subfields and disciplines emerge that need qualified personnel. This leads us to one of the most important challenges of our future: creating save, reliable and manageable informatics that at the same time is compliant with our society and socially acceptable for the people. The informatics studies do not only convey this knowledge but also provide deep insights into the practice of informatics.
