About the Program

Hydrogen is one of the key elements for a climate neutral future. The course is based around the technologies that are necessary for developing a future hydrogen economy. Technologies for the production, storage, and transport of hydrogen as well as its use in various sectors and industries will be considered in detail. A unique focus of the course is on the use of hydrogen in energy intensive industries such as steel and cement production or the chemical industry. Other core content includes innovation management, the economic evaluation of various technologies and the integral consideration of complex, interconnected, hydrogen systems. The content of the first two semesters is divided into fundamentals of hydrogen technology including aspects of security, and compulsory electives to build up specialized, in-depth, and practice-orientated competences. The third semester is used to prepare a master's thesis.
