About the Program

The health sciences degree program is designed to be interdisciplinary. It includes courses in basic scientific and medical subjects such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology/toxicology, health/illness studies, psychosomatics, health theory, prevention and environmental medicine. The course is given a special profile through health education content. Students studying towards a degree in Vocational Teacher Education will first study the six-semester-long degree program Bachelor of Vocational Education. You are required to combine a vocational specialization with a general education subject. Subsequently, you have to take the four-semester-long degree program Master of Vocational Education in the same subjects, for which you must (re)apply. The Master of Education degree is a prerequisite for admission to the period of school-based training called 'Referendariat'.
