The interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Greek and Latin Philology comprises classical philology (Greek and Latin Studies) as well as Medieval and Neo-Latin studies. You will achieve proficiency in the literary and philosophical-patristic heritage of the ancient world and have the opportunity to examine its impact on modern times. You may choose to specialise in Classical, Medieval or Neo-Latin prose, poetry, or philosophy. You may also take additional modules in the fields of ancient history, Byzantine studies, classical archaeology, philosophy, theology, medieval studies, and Indo-Germanic studies. Graduates of this programme are qualified not only to pursue a Ph.D. but also to work in libraries, archives, research institutes, and publishing companies. Another option would be to perform academic tasks in public administration, corporations, the media, or other institutions.
