About the Program

The Tricontinental Master in Global Studies (TRIM) is an international program taught in English that prepares students for careers in international companies, non-governmental or non-profit organizations. The program spans four semesters and provides comprehensive knowledge of global economic contexts, intercultural competence, and international experience. Students study as a group in different locations: first semester in Karlsruhe (Germany), second semester in Hualien (Taiwan), and third semester in Monterrey (Mexico). The fourth semester is dedicated to writing a master's thesis, preferably in cooperation with an internationally active company or organization, with students free to choose their location. This interdisciplinary and practice-oriented program combines business administration, economics, legal science, cultural science, and political science with extensive methodological knowledge. The curriculum includes modules such as International Business and Management, Management of International Organizations, European Economic Policy, European Business Cultures, Legal Systems in Europe, and various electives in the first semester; Legal Systems of China and Taiwan, Taiwanese History and Culture, Evolution of the Principles of Management, and electives in the second semester; and Microeconomics of Competitiveness, Introduction to Latin American Management, NAFTA Business Environment, Sales Administration Processes in Latin America, Social Responsibility and Sustainability, and electives in the third semester.
