About the Program

Students enrolled in the 'Gerontology, Health and Care' degree programme apply multidisciplinary approaches to dealing with general and specialised issues related to ageing and age. The Bachelor's degree programme comprises the interdisciplinary subject-specific and method-related handling of the disciplines of gerontology, nursing sciences and care, ethics, and thanatology, geriatrics and (geronto) psychiatry, health promotion, prevention and rehabilitation, as well as the scientific reference disciplines. As a teaching degree, it will ensure the basics of professionalism and quality for future teachers in vocational schools with the corresponding subject area.
