About the Program

The Master's program in German Studies (Germanistik) leads to an academic degree that qualifies graduates for professional careers or opens the possibility for an academic career through subsequent doctoral studies. This consecutive Master's program builds on the scientific skills acquired in Bachelor's studies and is designed with a strong research focus. The program consists of mandatory modules (72 credit points), elective modules (36 credit points), and complementary modules (12 credit points). The Master's thesis accounts for 30 credit points.
