About the Program

Osnabrück German Studies is concerned with German literature, language and culture in a European context. It is regarded as a combination of three sub-disciplines: Modern German Literature, Older German Literature in conjunction with Early Modern Literature and German Linguistics. From the third semester onwards, students can specialize - two of the three sub-subjects on offer are selected. An interdisciplinary exchange with other subjects is planned.
