About the Program

The Master's programme "German Studies" focuses on the main subjects of linguistic and literary studies and the media and cultural studies of the Department for German Studies. The programme offers a research-oriented qualification with opportunities for individual specialisation. The Master's programme consists of two attractive elective courses which can be freely combined. The elective area chosen for writing the thesis appears as a specification on the final degree certificate. In addition to practical and project-like forms of work, the programme focuses on scientific working methods and the acquisition of in-depth methodological and specialist knowledge. Moreover, the programme is supplemented by a compulsory internship.
