About the Program

The PhD programme Geoscience is based on three research foci of the faculty: 1) Coupling processes between the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, 2) Dynamics and transport processes of the lithosphere, 3) Coupled processes in Georeservoirs. By participating in a number of externally funded projects, doctoral candidates learn to perform independent scientific work. The doctoral program is embedded in ongoing externally funded research projects in the various disciplines and ensures an attractive high scientific level of doctoral training. The program is part of the Georg-August University School of Science (GAUSS).
