About the Program

The Geography program focuses on the surface of the earth, societies, spatial structures and their material and intellectual environments. Students examine both the physical and social world using various tools such as maps, fieldwork, laboratory studies, social scientific methods, aerial and satellite images, and geographic information systems. The program introduces students to various branches of geography including Physical Geography and Soil Science, Human Geography, and Geoinformatics and Earth Observation. Students can specialize in one of three areas: Physical Geography and Soil Science, Economy and Space, or Geoinformatics and Earth Observation.
