Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

B.Sc. Geography: Geography combines natural science and social science approaches and lies in an overlap area between geo, bio, social and economic sciences. The study deals with spatial development problems and the interactions between humans and the environment, especially between economic activities and natural balance. It is internationally oriented and examines natural, social and economic spaces across different continents. Natural hazards, landscape ecological studies, urban development and international relations are of particular importance. The Bachelor's program in Geography provides basic knowledge, facts, methods and ways of thinking in geography as well as the ability to deepen these and apply them professionally.

B.Sc. Geography International: The B.Sc. Geography International is a unique four-year geography program in Germany with a mandatory year abroad. It complements the three-year B.Sc. Geography with an explicitly international orientation from the second year of study. Students spend two semesters abroad and can choose between the "Study" model (two study semesters) or "Study & Internship" model (one study semester & a four-month internship). The degree increases graduates' chances for an internationally oriented career field.
