Geodesy and Geoinformation

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

Geodesy is concerned with the measurement of the earth in global, regional, and local scales. Geoinformation establishes links between captured data and their geographic location, processing data with computer-aided techniques and presenting them with digital geoinformation systems. This engineering science works across disciplines using modern measurement technologies, analytical processes and communications media. The program includes basic modules in engineering mathematics, experimental physics, curve fitting, geodesy and geoinformation. Advanced topics include mathematical evaluations of satellite missions, photogrammetric measuring methods, and urban development design aspects. The program combines theoretical courses with practical training through tutorials and surveying courses. Graduates can work in public surveying administrations, engineering firms, geoinformation companies, real estate, construction industry, aerospace, software development, and academia.
