About the Program

The minor subject will provide you with the opportunity to attain a high level of language skills and cultural knowledge in the French-speaking world and to develop expertise in the discussion of socially relevant topics in cultural and artistic media. You will acquire language skills or improve your existing language skills and learn to move around the francophone world with linguistic confidence, even if you start out without prior knowledge of the language. You will become a specialist in the area of cultural transfer and translation, developing a critical understanding of intercultural action and becoming sensitive to your own and the foreign language. In the context of your academic and practical linguistic education, the minor subject is aligned to the professional fields of cultural, textual and public relations work with regard to the French-speaking world.
