About the Program

The European Studies bachelor's programme focusses on Europe's current political, social and economic order as well as its historical development. Students acquire knowledge of the basic methodological principles in the fields of history, social sciences and economics. The programme offers an interdisciplinary social science approach, enabling students to transfer knowledge and handle complex problems by applying various systematic perspectives. Students learn different scientific and methodological approaches, particularly from social sciences, and get acquainted with various schools of thought and concepts. The programme allows students to set their own individual focus in political science and sociology as well as in social sciences and/or economics. A compulsory internship and semester abroad are included to improve intercultural and personal competence. Language skills are developed through foreign language courses.
