About the Program
The Master's program 'European Economic Policy' (Europäische Wirtschaftspolitik) is a joint degree program between HTW Berlin and FH des BFI Wien that focuses on questions related to climate change and sustainability, digitalization and artificial intelligence, globalization and social inequality, as well as economic crises and strategic sovereignty. The program offers an international, interdisciplinary, and applied education at the intersection of economics and politics. Students spend their 1st, 2nd, and 4th semesters in Vienna and the 3rd semester in Berlin, gaining experience in two European capitals. The program has two specialization tracks: 'European Economy and Society' and 'Politics and Interests in the EU'. The curriculum includes modules such as 'EU-Governance im Mehrebenensystem' and 'Gleichstellung und Antidiskriminierung in der EU'. The program features a strong practical focus with excursions to companies, ministries, and government institutions in both Vienna and Berlin. Many faculty members come from professional practice, enhancing the practical relevance of the education. Graduates qualify for positions in political institutions, foundations, civil society organizations, political education, and political advocacy.
